It all started when we both swiped right. What seemed like a simple match on Tinder turned into something neither of us expected—something real, meaningful, and full of promise. Our first few messages were filled with laughter, curiosity, and that nervous excitement that comes when you’re unsure but hopeful about someone new. There was an instant connection, a spark that made us both want to learn more about each other.

As we exchanged messages, we quickly discovered that we had so much in common. We laughed about silly things, shared little details about our lives, and talked about everything under the sun—our favorite music, places we’d been, and dreams we had for the future. Each conversation felt effortless, as though we’d known each other much longer than just a few days. There was a sense of ease, but also that exciting feeling of getting to know someone who could be so much more than just a new acquaintance.

Soon enough, those conversations led to planning our first date. Neither of us really knew what to expect, but there was this unspoken feeling that something special was starting. We were both eager to meet—little did we know that that first date would be the start of an incredible journey together.

Andrew picked Bec up, and from the very start, it felt comfortable—like we’d known each other much longer than just a few messages. We drove around Leeton for a bit, and he showed me where his family lived, sharing little stories along the way. It was the perfect mix of casual and personal, giving me a glimpse into his world.

Then, we headed to Griffith and grabbed a coffee before making our way to the lookout. We sat there for hours, just talking—about everything and nothing at all. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and before we knew it, time had slipped away. It was one of those moments where it felt like nothing else mattered, just us and the connection we were building.

Fast forward to December 7th, 2023—Andrew and I were in Melbourne for a 50 Cent concert, having an unforgettable time. The next day, I wouldn’t give Andrew two seconds on his own, especially when he kept insisting on calling my dad. I had a feeling something was up.

We started the day by visiting the markets, picking out goodies for a platter, and everything seemed totally normal. But then Andrew surprised me with something I didn’t see coming—he’d secretly hired a boat on the Yarra River! As we cruised along the water, taking in the stunning views of Melbourne, I still didn’t quite catch on.

Then, in the middle of it all, Andrew got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. The moment was pure magic, and with the city skyline around us and the quiet of the river, it felt like the world had paused for just a moment. Of course, I said yes—grinning from ear to ear—and knowing that our adventure together was only just beginning.

From that moment on, we’ve shared countless memories—each one bringing us closer and shaping our story. We've had our fair share of milestones, from moving in together and building a house to Rebecca starting a new job and her parents making the move to Leeton.

Along the way, we’ve also grown our fur family, added (and occasionally sold) a few cars, and spent way too many hours building and, let's be honest, breaking them. We’ve been on so many holidays together, exploring new places and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a grand adventure, each trip was another chapter in our story.

Music has always been a huge part of our lives, and we’ve had the best time going to concerts, dancing to our favorite songs, and bonding over our shared love of all things music. Whether it's blasting tunes on a road trip or experiencing the energy of live shows, music has always brought us closer.

Fitness has also been a big part of our journey—we’ve worked hard at the gym together, supporting and motivating each other to be our best. Whether it’s a tough workout or a chill walk, we’ve always found strength in each other.

Through all the ups and downs, we’ve always had each other’s backs—through thick and thin. No matter what life threw our way, we faced it together, always with love, support, and a little bit of humour.

As we prepare for the big day, we find ourselves reflecting on just how incredibly lucky we are to have found each other. It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come—from that first swipe right to everything we’ve shared since. Every moment, every memory, has only deepened our love and appreciation for one another. We feel so grateful to have someone by our side who truly understands us, supports us, and makes life feel brighter.

We are excited for all the moments yet to come—the quiet mornings together, the late-night talks, the laughter, the challenges, and the celebrations. With each new chapter, we’ll continue to grow individually and as a couple. We can’t wait to keep learning from each other, to keep laughing through life’s little quirks, and to keep creating a life that is uniquely ours.
